1. New and existing subscribers, who want to
control the ads that they see, will select a
category of interest. This is the first opt-in.
Ad Specs: Determine which categories you
would like to advertise within.
|
 |
|
2. Subscribers that select a category will be
presented with a list of sponsors that
are related to that category.
Ad Specs: The Sponsor will need to provide
their company name with a 100 character
description (including spaces).
|
 |
|
3. Once the subscriber selects a Sponsor, they will see the Sponsor's "Promotion Page". The subscriber then confirms their selection. Or, if the subscriber clicks on the "Select a Different Sponsor" button, they will be able to choose a new Sponsor or Category. This is the second opt-in.
Ad Specs: The Sponsor will need to provide a 500 character description (including spaces) and a 150x300 non-animated JPEG.
Note: The 150x300 image will not be clickable at this point, however, it will be clickable in the "Welcome Email".
|
 |
|
4. The Sponsor's Web page "Landing Page" will load behind the WeatherBug, and the WeatherBug will convert to the Sponsor's "BrandWrap" for 48 hours. When the subscriber closes their WeatherBug, the Sponsor's "Landing Page" will come to the foreground. This is how we guarantee that each subscriber will visit the Sponsor's site.
Ad Specs: Sponsor will need to provide a URL for the "Landing Page". The BrandWrap is a 625x433 creative ad unit with two 468x60 clickable areas.
Note: The "Landing Page" URL will be used for the BrandWrap and Welcome Email click throughs.

5. The subscriber will receive a
"Welcome Email" within 48 hours.
Ad Specs: WeatherBug will use the same
150x300 JPEG and 500 characters of text
that was used on Step 2. At the Sponsors
option, they can provide unique copy for the
email, not to exceed 650 characters
(including spaces).
Note: The non-animated 150x300 image will
be clickable, and will be linked to the same
URL as the "Landing Page".

6. WeatherBug can also send a "Stand-alone Email" on behalf of the Sponsor to each subscriber that selected the Sponsor. The email is sent 48 hours after the subscriber selects the Sponsor.
Ad Specs: The client provides both HTML and Text versions of the email (max. size 15,500 characters for HTML and 7,500 for plain text), and the URL's.
Note: Rates will vary depending on the number of emails the Sponsor would like WeatherBug to deliver to each subscriber and the degree of targeting capabilities. WeatherBug also offers a premium service for offline marketers.
